Macbeth:

Wyrd (weird): eerie, relating to the supernatural, bizarre.
Wyrd: of or relating to fate “ to see” Old English: destiny

Journal Prompt:
A. What is fate? Do you believe in it? To what extent does it control one's life?
B. Does Macbeth believe in fate? What makes you say so? Explain



C. Without sharing, predict what will happen next - the role of fate. Elaborate - don't just say the third prophecy will come true.

Using your 3rd Quarter SSR book, create one of the following using your SSR book as inspiration:

1. Create EITHER:
· 8x10 photo with artist statement
· recorded piece of music with artist statement
· drawing, painting, or sculpture with artist statement

2. Write EITHER (2-3 pages):
· rewrite a chapter of your book from another character’s point of view
· create an alternate ending
· literary criticism (needs clear thesis statement)
o examples: feminist theory, queer theory, psychoanalytical perspective
